Simple Minds is one of the bands that have most greatly influenced modern music.

After the band formed at the end of the 1970s, they bowled over the market with the hit “Don’t You (Forget About Me)”. Throughout their career, Simple Minds have amassed 22 platinums, 5 number-one albums, a “Q Music Award” for the Best Live Act, and they’ve sold more than 60 million albums. Moreover, their 1982 record “New Gold Dream” is considered one of the essential albums of 21st-century music.

After more than thirty years at the avant-garde of the international music scene, Simple Minds are still just as alive as ever, and the Starlite Festival is proud to bear witness to this.
